Sorting games

On 2 December 2010, she is sorting out this colourful ABC magnets into 4 groups without my guidance.

I've freeze this magnets nearly a year... thought of teaching her ABC, but she managed to learn A to Z from a book, so it has become part of her colour sorting tools.

The girl with "V" pose again when she has complete the task. LOL.

scholastic促销

从论坛里得知Scholastic有促销，就在七月中的时候通过某学校的老师帮我订购了些书给女儿。

等了大概一个月多吧，就邮寄了给我。

当中包括了两本绘本和一套Clifford Phonics Reading Program，总共花费了RM40.00。

开了包裹之后，女儿非常喜欢小红狗，还从我手上抢了过去，在床上排了起来；不到十分钟，有退回给我了。

所以，到今天，她也还没有正式去读。。。心痛！

new word - bib

She learn a new word from Baby Bumble Bee again.   There is one day, she is showing me a bib and said:  Bib.   All this while she doesn't know what it called and simply treat it as part of her toys.  Yes, she doesn't like to wear her bib and will remove it herself.   If I'm not mistaken, this is the only bib daddy bought for her from Ikea last year.  LOL

crayon

Yesterday night as usual, before we go to bed, baby Yvonnie will love to busy colouring...   So she tell me this:  Crayon... I never noticed what she said and look at her?! She repeat again:  Crayon by raising her crayon up. Baru I understand:  Oh, Crayon... yes, it is a crayon...   See, baby is just like a piece of sponge, they can absorbed a fresh word easily...   And forgot to tell you, she learn this word from Baby Bumble Bee VCD too!

Baby Bumble Bee

Yvannie love to watch Baby Bumble Bee lately.  She did absorbed some vocabs very well and this few day, she gave me some surprise when I reach home.   Vocab 1:   Yvannnie:  Toes --- moving her toes... Me:  huh? Yvannie:  Toes Me:  oh, toes, yeah, you are right...   Vocab 2:   Yvannie:  Tummy --- by lifting her shirt up and showing me her tummy... Me:  tummy? Yvannie:  Tummy --- patting her tummy Me:  oh, tummy... where is your tummy? Yvannie:  Lifting her shirt up and said "tummy"...   Vocab 3:   Yvannie:  Puzzle --- bringing along her set of puzzle Me:  I cann't understand what she trying to say. Yvannie:  Puzzle Me:  Puzzle, wao, you know this is a puzzle, good girl...   Thumb up to my baby Yvannie and I feel proud of her.

惊喜

我家女儿前几天给我一个惊喜，故事是这样的，话说：

我把去年买的磁铁书搬出来好一个星期，让她学算数，就在星期三晚上，当我指着数目字的时候，首先我就用英语告诉她：one，当我指着下个数目字的时候，她竟然可以接着说：

two, three, four, five. （这本磁铁书的数目字只到‘五’）

哇，好大的惊喜哦，她竟然记得这五个数目字，当下称赞她了几下，就心想：会不会是那么巧呢？于是，我又再试多一次，诶，真的是可以自己念哦！

接着我又拿另外一本hard cover book，每一页的念；诶，她可以念到six, seven 哦。。。

我真的是太太太太高兴了，就继续教她。。。就这样数着数着，从这天晚上开始，她果真自己念one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten....

我的女儿真的是太棒了，就不断的给她鼓励鼓励的掌声。。。

我平时考她的时候，她也还记得这些数目字，偶尔会把eight 吞进肚子里，我暗示了过后，就又记得起，而给我尴尬的笑脸一个。

现在的她，已经可以自己数华语和英语的数目字从1-10， 我接下来的目标将会下十个数目字11-20，一步一步来，希望可以看到更好的成绩。

爸爸和婆婆都很替她开心，可以自己数双语。。。。

好野好野。。。。

好伤脑筋哦

我家的宝贝已经两岁三个月了，现在令我头痛的事情是：什么时候应该报读幼儿园？！


昨天问了爸爸说：怎样，打算什么时候让她上学？

爸爸：不懂哦！（就这样带过了）

我：很担心她在学校没有伴，也担心她在学校大哭！

爸爸也点头赞成我所说的...


就这样，我也不敢再继续问下去。


而我心里还一直在想着，犹豫着，好不好明年让她上学，接触外面的小小天地。

当然寻找一所好的幼儿园也是一件非常令人头痛的事情之一！


不知道宝妈们有什么意见吗？

cheapest board again!

Today, we hang out at the RM1.99 shop and noticed that they sell this...

7pcs wooden board 七巧板;

16 pcs wooden board.

If I not mistaken, it was commonly used in Shichida Method in training our left and right brain.  And the price selling in Shichida Centre is quite expensive.  So without a thinkle, I bought a set each for the girl. There are another set is bigger than the 16 pcs wooden board at a different price, cost less than RM5.00.

My girl immediately asking me to open the wrapper and trying very hard to play on it.  Tell you, I'm not very sure how to play on it, but it is hard to place all the stick back to the board.  And of course, the above pictures taken is showing my way in stuffing all the stick at the board. 

So we are still in a learning stage in knowing the concept of this board and will encourage my girl to finish it.

It is a very interesting game, no harm trying...

some story books

I bought some story books from an online store for my girl last 2 weeks during their promotion.  In fact, I have also planned to buy some book for myself.  Therefore, I have sapu about 12 books from the store.

It tooks 2 days as they are located at Johor.  Look at the picture shown below:

I was asking the girl to sit near a side for me to take a photo together with the books I placed on the floor, but she is on a 'not willing' mode...

Most of the books I bought is mainly for the girl and there are 3 books is belongs to me, the lady boss also sharing a book with me without any additional charges.

This shop is selling lots of books in a reasonable price, I have did some survey that the books they are selling is the cheapest and the quatity of the books are good.

This is not the first time I bought from the shop but the 2nd time.  I have also listed some of other books for my next batch.  Hope that I can finished all the books in a shortest period.

Tell you, my girl love all the colourful story books too.

the cheapest puzzle

Have you seen this puzzle before?

We bought this on last weekend at Daiso, IOI Mall... It cost only RM5.00.

Yes, you didn't hear me wrong, daddy told me that he saw this puzzle - 4 in 1 before, so he purposely go another round and grab this puzzle at Daiso.  There are 4 sets each from 6 pcs, 10pcs, 16 pcs and 20pcs.

So far, my girl managed to complete 2 different puzzles and is trying very hard to complete the 3rd puzzle.

Can you read it clearly?  It was dated 19 January 2010, I'm teaching baby in writing, so we start at no. 1.

When I ask her write 1, she will be writing it very clearly without me holding her hand!

教学用具

上两个星期天14/3/2010，得空没事做，剪了头发过后，爹地问我下个目的地时，就告诉他说我要去Sri Petaling的Kids Station买生日礼物给贝比。

起初只想到要买拼版玩具（puzzles），谁知道逛啊逛的，介绍介绍下，就买了这么多：

厉害吧？

你肯定会说我：这么夸张，小孩子还这么小，需要这样消费吗？

可能我非常注重小贝比的学识，一直要她学习生字，就这么的一口气给豁出去了！

另外，我也相信小孩子除了学习生字，也要懂得动动脑筋，学习游乐兼施，两者一样重要。当然我也不急，一步一步来慢慢教她，才会这么舍得付钱。

爹地问我花费多少时，我很爽朗的答他道：很便宜，百多块钱而已喇。

屁喇！！！！你认为百多块钱可以买到这些吗？？

13mo soon!

My little gal is going to 13 months and she is learning a lot:

• She will called "gor gor" when a boy passing by...
• She will called "jie jie" when she is reading her flash card (there are some photos printed with a little girl in eating, drinking, crawling, crying, smiling, etc.)...
• She will point to the lizard and said "bi (壁)" ( 壁虎)... than laugh at it!
• She will said "cock cock" and point to the flash card I bought and look outside...
• She will said "wu wu" and trying very hard to touch Coco (Kit's pet)...
• She will said "da (大)" when she is watching at the advertisement (forgot what kind of advertisement is that, not mistaken is Anmum???), sometimes she will said "bien (should be tien (天)", although her pronounciation is incorrect, but at least she is trying her best to learn...
• She will carrying her bear and patting it, later on will pass it to us and teaching us, she will show us how she did!

We brought her to see Dr Khoo last Monday as she is not feeling well again, flu, cough and white spot on her mouth (pitty girl)! That day, Dr Tan (my gynae)'s wife bring her twins (boy & girl) as well for check up, baby Yvannie is very interested to look at them, so I told baby Yvannie that "we go and see baby", you know, her first impression to the baby is touching her, I'm so worried that she will act like a "cow", not touching but whipping, luckily she is not, thank god!

Tell you, she loves baby after seeing them... always shaking her legs to see babies that day! hahaha...
